Uintah High School is located in Vernal, Utah and serves Uintah County. UHS is a college/career oriented public high school serving approximately 1200 students in grades 10th to 12th. UHS has existed since 1924 and was organized to serve the needs to high school students in and near the city of Vernal, Utah. Vernal is a renowned tourist destination where people from all over the world come to visit the Dinosaur National Monument, run the Green River, and do outdoor activities. Vernal is located in the northeastern corner of the state. The Vernal area is a growing rural community of more than 26,000 people. |

Uintah High School seeks to provide the most comprehensive educational program which meets the needs of students of all abilities and backgrounds and to ensure that each student will develop a sense of personal responsibility and achievement as well as a vision of his or her own future. An individualized, positive experience for all students is stressed.
